So tonight I was sitting there waiting for my mommy to get out of the bathtub, and her father-in-law gave me some ice cream in a bowl to lick. My face is really sticky now so even though it was really good mommy seems annoyed. I can't understand why. She was yelling something about having to give me another bath. I really hope THAT doesn't happen again!
Other than that my day was pretty uneventful, other than stealing green beans from daddys plate. They were pretty good! Then he called me silly for liking green beans. Whats wrong with that?

Intro Post!
Hey all! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Sasafras. Really it's Sasafras of the Oakland Plains, but everyone calls me Sassy. I only used that big name back when I did dog shows (I always did pretty well) but now I have short hair and just have fun...instead of getting groomed all day just to parade around in front of people. I like this better. So call me Sassy.
I am three years old. I know that doesn't sound old, but I have lived lots. In addition to my dog show days, I grew up in Missouri with another family. I have 14 kids, but they are all grown up and moved away, lots of them to do dog shows themselves. The vet tells me I shouldn't have any more kids, and thats ok...because now I am a kid myself to my Mom.
I moved to Iowa and when the vet told me I couldn't have any more puppies, my old family didnt want me anymore. Even though that made me really sad, I found another family who loves me even though I can't have any more kids. My Mom in fact can't have any kids, so we have lots in common.
I live with my Mommy and Daddy here in the country in Iowa. I have lots of friends here. There is Bandit the cat, and my other puppy friends, Juno, Persephone, and Bella. Sometimes we don't all get along, but isn't that the way with friends sometimes? My favorite past times are shaking, smacking, running, sleeping, playing, and chasing Bandit. I also like to snuggle with my mommy when she is sad..which happens often because she is sometimes very sick and in pain. I am glad I can help my mommy, and I hope one day I will get to tell you all about her, because pretty much she is great.
I have many dislikes. I am, in fact, a Sassy doggie who likes what she likes and hates what she hates. I hate the following...baths, fighting, rain, icky dog treats, and when my daddy pokes me. He thinks I like to be poked even though I don't. Mostly he is just jealous that Mommy can understand me and he can't. He is not fluent in Shi Tzu, while my Mommy is.
I hope to tell you all about my fun days here with my Mommy and Daddy, and hopefully entertain you in the process. I will try to get my Daddy, who is a good photographer, to take pictures of my adventures so that I can share them with you. I will try to write every day, but like I said I have to tell my Mommy what to write so if she is too busy I will just have to wait to tell you about my adventures. I hope all of you out there have a good night...and until tomorrow........
